The party journeys into the forrest outside of Witgendorf in search of their contact Bliktrund. While searching for the bandit camp, however, they find something far more nefarious lurking in the twisted wood.

Fearing the creepy castle that seems to inevitably call them towards it, the gang instead heads off to Altdorf to unload their cargo and try and learn a little more about the mysterious Von Wittgensteins. They also reconnect with their old pal Franc, share some laughs, and once again themselves in over their heads with notorious criminal elements.

The gang returns to Kemperbad and plots their next step. There they meet up with an old friend, before setting off to the tower in hopes of finally putting use to Dagmar's balls.

Bruno spends some quality time with a mob of dwarves, while Indigo and Yeffi have a heart to heart with a goblin in a dress. The party puts together some more pieces of the puzzle, and begins to plot their next move against the members of the Red Crown.

The gang investigates the mysterious tower previously owned by Etelka Herzen, and meets the new inhabitant Gutbag. Indigo is surprised to find himself outmatched by goblins, Bruno partakes in a wizard's duel, and Yeffi rediscovers her roots amid an angry, torch-bearing mob. There's even time for just a little awkward romance.
